I took a lighting class with Chris last year ... I remember how honest he was when talking about his work -I also remember the crazy debates he had with the "feminists" of the class, accusing him of treating women like objects in some of his shots ! we had lots of fun ...

I am attracted to the uniformity of Christoopher's work. He has a distinct way of using his lighting that embeds a unique style into the work I have seen. I think that the hotel work and the editorial work feels the most natural as far as lighting and subject matter however. The models seem very comfortable with the situation and I am sure this is by no mistake. I get a sense of a great respect for the subject matter. The "moments of isolation" shots seem intentionally lit in a way that is unnatural to me, not bad , just obviously lit for stylistic purposes.
