This guy photographed the last days of the steam powered trains that ran in the south. I love it when someone captures these moments of industrial history in a way thats aesthetically satisfying. Anyhow this work does that for me atleast. You can read more about the history of the steam train era and the photographer. I placed the link in the "labels" section near the comment space.

THE LISTENING POST
Fantastic visual/sound installation.
From the description-
"an art installation currently on exhibition at the london science musueum that samples the text input from 1000's of public access chatroom and forums across the globe.. Listening Post allows you to experience an extraordinary snapshot of the internet and gain a great sense of the humanity behind the data."

LES BISOUS
i've always had a special admiration for people who are able to represent cheesy things/feelings/topics (cheesy actually meaning, most of the time, so important that they've been over-represented, and lost their initial meaning, i guess) in a non-cheesy way. Romantic relationships is one of these topics... Flore-Ael Surun has documented a complex relationship (her own) and i she managed to do something subtle. More about her and her work here.
