Chromatic aberration

There was some discussion about the 5D and chromatic aberration in class recently, and while I can't specially address why there is chromatic aberration on the 5D, it is very likely due to the lens. Even high end lens (especially telephoto) lenses are subject to this phenomenon. For all the technical details, please refer to an article that appeared (last year?) in Digital Photo Pro. This magazine has grown in it's five year life from being a disposable quick read, to being something well worth the hour or two it would take to skim and read the issue in it's entirety (all my opinion of course).

The article is here.
