



this is a belgian photographer; he is 23 years old and already shot the cover of Dazed&Confused...i love his images, because they are unexpected, dark with irony, and contribute -i think- to making fashion photography "smarter". also because the first shot up there reminds me of a Bacon painting, i guess. his website.

I like the last image. Interesting blend of light. What do you mean by "smarter" fashion photography?
more sophisticated, more ironic, not only a model that looks on drugs and/or depressed... more original... i guess fashion photography for me as always been a place where there could be a lot of freedom and creativity (because everything can be "fashion" as long as it sets a mood), and i don't think a lot of photographers take full advantage of that...
