not to sure how many of you were familiar with jill greenberg - la based portrait photographer. but over the years she has gotten a lot of attention and work from here series of crying babies, monkeys and other works. she has a signature light for portraits - we all know what it looks like and frankly most of us have been bored of it for quite sometime. although, she works a lot.
but, things change, and they have. read about it...
see what she did to mccain. the power of the media and the power of art... what's your thoughts on this...

wow. those images and the captions are aggressive to say the least. they certainly make an impact and create duality of disgust and derision for both mccain as well as the images themselves. whether or not one agrees with the message it's interesting that jill would make such a bold, staunch statement at the expense of her own potential backlash. i applaud the spirit but leave the message to the objectivity of the individual viewer.

Jill's portraits are just amazing. Especially the kids, the way she captures their expressions just puts a smile on my face because it is soo real rather if they are crying or just laughing or frowning...
These are outrageous. I applaud her for giving her unfiltered opinion, especially considering her current popularity and success. Whether we agree or disagree is irrelevant to me. She's got nuts, that's for sure.

wow, this is crazy. She's definitely 'got nuts', or has gone nuts. The article said Atlanta magazine is rumored to be suing her? They can't do that can they? She owns the pictures...? I'm a little shocked that she did it, but, hey, she's allowed! I wonder how the demeanor was between her and McCain on set and had no idea what was about to hit him!
